Hola Familia! Its been only about a week now and its kinda felt like a long tiempo but at the same tiempo it has gone by so fast! I really enjoy it here alot and know this is goin to be a wonderful experience! I have been selected as district leader over my district. It is quite an interesting responsibility. We have a couple elders that i will need to correct in my room with some of there habits and behaviors. Im ready for all of us to hit the ground and study hard. The language is coming along well and i have learned to pray and testify in spanish already. We have tried to teach in straight espanol twice already and have found it quite difficult to communicate with the investigator, but it really did go quite well! So i got lucky and will is literally RIGHT next door to me in the residence halls hahaha! AWesome right!? Im we were companeros in here, we would shake this place up!! NOt gettin in trouble, but with our teachin. Definitely enjoying that. I will say that i have felt home sick at all, which i can thank to college. There are some that have started to really feel it here; i know they will come around if they really focus on what is important which is losing themselves in the work. I will be having a meeting here soon with the district to tell them the vision we should all adopt in this experience here. It will be interesting with the response since some the elders arent completely committed fully in there time. I am very thankful for yall for teachin me the correct work ethic to have, and pushing me to my potential. It will greatly benefit me in here. I love you all, and want to honor the family name with the service and hard work i put into this experience. This is only the beginning, but it is all started to move in fastforward. My excitement is beyond words for the spiritual experiences i will have here in the future. I can see them coming just from what has happened already. Hope things arent too gloomy at home trying to get used to me being gone. I know blessings will start to flow into your lives. I hope this will be an opportunity for you to grow close now that im out. I want to bear my testimony in espanol now. At least a little bit of it since i still know so little.. Keep strong and search continually for the blessings and the knowledge the gospel brings. If there is anything at is absolute in this world.... it is the promises of the gospel. With love, Elder Scott |

Missionary Reporting Day
HERE WE GO...Josh was set apart as a Missionary at 8am Oct 26th 2011, this was a very special time for our family. The spirit was definitely felt that morning. After that we made Josh's favorite breakfast, he finished last minute checks on his suitcase, then around lunch time we met up with my cousin Mark and his family, who's son Colbe reported the same day and time as Josh, to have lunch with the boys before they reported at the MTC at 1:25pm. We had been warned that you drop your Missionary off at the sidewalk and it takes less then 5 mins and ACTUALLY it only takes 2 mins. It was a very very quick process but I like it better then the way it used to be. The whole way up the hill to the MTC, Josh kept razzing me... "oh we are getting closer...are you going to cry....we are almost there Tami".... And as you will see a few pictures down I just couldn't hold back and neither could Dad. Here are some pics of that mornings events.
Josh getting ready to leave :)
